Mack Myers is an American founder, designer and software developer based in Columbus, Ohio. He co-founded Pieces, an ambient AI memory platform, with Tsavo Knott. He served as Chief Product Officer and Chief Operating Officer from incorporation in 2020 until 2026.
At Pieces he owned and oversaw all front-end development, along with the shared module architecture and SDK that powered the plugins. He was the main product designer and the primary interface between customers and the company, and ran administrative operations alongside the product work.
Mack co-founded Pieces, an ambient AI memory platform, in Cincinnati with Tsavo Knott, and was there from incorporation until 2026. It shipped the Desktop app, the primary UI for macOS, Windows, and Linux, and PiecesOS, the always-on background service and engine behind the system, plus plugins for the popular browsers and developer tools and a web application for team admins and configurations. It reached over 110,000 registered users across more than 200 production releases.

Mack co-founded Mesh with Tsavo Knott while the two were finishing at Miami. It was a collaboration tool for universities, powered by university ERPs, so the roster, the group and the shared workspace came pre-assembled and students did not have to set all that up again every term. The company raised $600K and piloted on campus with Miami University, with the product built by an outsourced development firm for its first two years.
Mesh wound down as they began the pivot to Pieces.
Mack started at Miami University in biochemistry, then switched into mathematics, before graduating in Professional Writing in 2016.
He met Tsavo Knott at Miami and the two started Mesh before either had graduated. Mack skipped his own graduation ceremony to attend the closing of the company's first $200K angel investment.
A command line tool for working across a lot of GitHub repositories at once. On any given day at Pieces he had issues and pull requests open across hundreds of them, and opening github.com for each one was the slow path. mbot filed an issue or triggered an AI review on his behalf from whatever window he already had in front of him. Repo aliases did most of the work. pfx meant pieces-app/pieces_for_x, so filing a bug was minimal keystrokes.

Co-founder, CPO and COO at Pieces from incorporation to the last day. Set strategy with the CEO and owned product and operations for a business of ninety-three people over six years across ten countries, twenty-five on payroll at the peak.

Owned and oversaw all front-end development on the Pieces Desktop app, the primary UI, with PiecesOS as the always-on background engine behind it, plus the plugins and the team admin portal. Over 200 production releases in under four years, across ten app stores and marketplaces.

Main product designer at Pieces, working closely with the CEO on nearly every product surface. Hundreds of Figma designs, iterated for usability, efficiency, consistency, convention, and intuitiveness. He sketched smaller UI elements by hand before the hi-fi mockups, and also worked across websites, email, social, release notes, conference booths, and collateral.

Dozens of junior employees came up under him at Pieces, among them engineers, designers, operators, and marketers. He worked with engineering, machine learning, design, and GTM as a player-coach. 2,563 code reviews for 41 colleagues on the measurable side, and a lot of sitting with someone until the work got better.
Built the desktop UI application as lead engineer and set how code got reviewed there. He reviewed more than he authored through most of those years, with a median time to merge of 1.7 hours.
$600K at Mesh, $26M at Pieces, from a pre-seed SAFE through convertible notes, a priced Seed and a Series A. Built the decks and numbers with the CEO, then the legal work with counsel on every round.

He and the CTO handled 3,127 support tickets, joining live calls to troubleshoot and collect feedback, then carrying that into a fix and a release. He was also the sole account manager for early team adopters, from small companies through a publicly traded one.
Talks to almost anyone. He has sat through a security review with a public company's IT team and rewritten the messaging on a marketing site in the same afternoon.
Built working relationships with vendors so product and operations had what they needed, from cloud and models to the rest of the stack the company ran on.
Payroll, benefits, accounting, tax, banking, state registrations and vendors for ninety-three people across ten countries. He stayed in those jobs himself, and also steered the accounting and people-ops partners who carried a lot of the work under his supervision.
